Phase 01

Groups were instructed to utilize art and design sections of the library in order to contribute to the physical portion of our findings. Pulling books from the shelves is goes hand in hand with checking Sprague Library's online databases in order to provide scholarly and written information.

Book Covers

The following books and images were found when Stephanie, Danielle and I met up outside of class. Some pieces of our physical material is based off of the direct concept of logo design. Others were included in this phase to represent the historical side of creating graphics.

Pages

Stephanie, Danielle and I came across a few books that included pages and pages of logos for companies across the world. The following images were taken with consideration of the five areas on campus that we will be designing for.

Historical Pages

When gathering physical material for this phase I had the idea of research through a historical view. I gathered books pertaining to hieroglyphics, Rome, Greece, etc. I also included

pages with text that stood out to me during this process.

Online Content

Three PDF's from Sprague Library's databases are linked. Each PDF contains an article/journal that pertains aspects of a logo. For example, one article is based on how symbols influence our minds, how we interpret them. All three pieces of text are published as peer-reviewed to ensure the accuracy of the information given.
